What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Maths. The post will appeal to newly qualified teachers or experienced teachers with a strong track record wishing to join a thriving and oversubscribed school. A prerequisite will be outstanding subject knowledge, with a desire to teach A-level Maths and Further Maths at GCSE and A-level.
Mathematics is a flourishing department at West Hatch, securing outstanding results for students and is one of the most popular subjects at West Hatch, this is reflected by the high intake at KS5. Our Philosophy is to encourage and develop our student’s confidence, with excellent teaching and learning, as well as their understanding through an engaging and bespoke curriculum. The Mathematics Department aims to inspire students to cultivate fluency, reasoning and logical problem-solving skills, equipping themselves with the Mathematical skills essential for everyday life.
The department results are consistently above national average at KS4, and rank highly amongst all schools in Essex. You would be working within a thriving department with good routes to progression, who take great effort and pride in developing and supporting staff
