Job Description
This hybrid role offers a great balance of home and office working. You’ll join your colleagues in your local office at least 2 days a week.
As the UK’s largest fibre-only network, and its only proven wholesale challenger, we’re busy setting new standards for what digital infrastructure can and should be.
Designed from scratch for the internet, our network is greener, more reliable and ready for the future. The products we provide over it not only lead the market on speed, value and service, they help businesses to innovate, provide entire communities with a better foundation for their digital lives and support economic growth, locally and nationally.
What does that mean for you? The opportunity to make internet connections (and daily life) a whole lot better, for a lot of people!
Joining us as a Solution Architect
As a Solution Architect you’ll collaborate with all of CityFibre’s Departments to find alternatives and solutions to business challenges, seeking out systems solutions (either internal or external) that can be leveraged to meet business requirements.

This is some of what you can expect to be doing:
* Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders to capture, maintain, and evolve current state architecture
* Deliver innovative and pragmatic IT Enterprise Architectures in line with business needs, working within the architecture team
* Evaluate internal functions, systems, business strategies, and IT processes to find improvements that support CityFibre's future strategies and goals
* Ensure alignment between business and technology by linking the business mission, strategy, and processes to the technology strategy, and documenting this using multiple architectural models or views
What you’ll bring to the role
You will bring substantial experience working with systems and solutions deployed in a cloud environment, ideally AWS. Additionally, you will have:
* Proficiency in using Telecoms, IT Industry, and Enterprise Architecture Best Practice methodologies such as TM Forum, ITIL, TOGAF, BPMN, UML, etc
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
