Contract details: We are currently hiring for various roles across Bitesize Teens but there may be further FTC opportunities available in other Bitesize areas in the coming months due to staff movement. This is a Talent Pool for APs to work in all areas of BBC Bitesize. If you are offered a place in the pool you are not guaranteed a job. We will however be offering x3 roles on Bitesize Teens initially:
1. 1 x 11 month FTC/Attachment (April-March) Bitesize Other Side of the Story Content
2. 1 x 10 month FTC/Attachment (May-March) Bitesize Other Side of the Story Workshops
3. 1 x 6 month FTC/Attachment (April-October) Bitesize Study Support Guide to Secondary School Project
Location: Media City, Salford - This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office with home working.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Joining our AP Talent Pool will enable you to be offered work as and when opportunities arise. Appointment to the pool will not entitle candidates to permanent contracts in the BBC, those will have to be applied for in the normal way, and neither does it guarantee work.

A part of BBC Bitesize, The Other Side of the Story project helps to empower young people to make positive changes to the way they consume and share news and content. Main Responsibilities
You’ll be a strong all-rounder, able to write, create and edit content for digital platforms. You’ll have a keen interest in news and social media trends, and experience and knowledge of working in a news environment and/or background in journalism. Knowledge of the latest trends and issues affecting teenagers is important and you’ll ideally have some experience of working with schools and a young audience.
Are you the right candidate?
ESSENTIAL
* Experience of writing clear and concise material for websites articles and briefs.
* Ability to edit, and create content for digital platforms using Adobe and Photoshop.
* Experience of working with, or creating resources for, schools, teachers and/or education consultants.
* Good understanding and knowledge of news.
* Effective planning and organising skills.
DESIRABLE
* Demonstrable passion for connecting with young people.
* Background in Journalism.
* Good contacts with outside agencies, celebrities, and public figures.
* Excellent communication skills.
