The Chemotherapy Day Unit treats patients with a wide variety of systemic anti-cancer therapies. The unit is currently opened Monday to Friday, and we work closely with other units one on site and one at our acute trust site. Main duties of the job You will provide a high-quality service of care to patients and significant others and to promote a good learning environment. Supporting the Senior Nurse for Chemotherapy Services in all aspects of that role, as well as the other members of the team. You willbe aware of resource management and to provide effective links within the Trust and undertake and assist in the safe administration of cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal anti-bodies within the Oncology. Haematology client group, whilst also providing on-going support to patients and their carers. You will ensure that nursing care within the chemotherapy unit is a high standard and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures and standards and adheres to the Units philosophy. You will contribute to the improvement of services.
