Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management, and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team.
Our Paralegal Centre of Excellence brings together a range of paralegal skills and capabilities, which provides a variety of services to our practice groups and clients.
As the Vario team grows, we are recruiting Paralegals to deliver a variety of legal work for our clients within a number of practice groups. The role will provide exposure to quality commercial legal work including:
1. Document review projects in relation to litigation, cyber incidents, DSARs, and employment matters among others
2. Due diligence of contracts, lending and security documentation, and property documents including leases
3. Drafting legal documents and reports
4. Trial and Hearing Preparation - Preparing drafts of documents including witness statements, correspondence, forms, applications, schedules, and lists
5. Transactional Support – including company search reports, security registration, post-completion tasks, and bibles
6. Data room management including uploading documents, redactions, project management, and administration
7. Undertaking legal research
8. General administration tasks and assisting fee earners with other ad-hoc duties
Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm; however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.
Candidate Overview
We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:
1. A passion for quality, excellent service delivery as well as self-improvement
2. An interest in building a career in an alternative legal services environment
3. Experience using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
4. Customer service, administrative, or previous legal experience would be beneficial
