Job Title: Data Management & SharePoint Administrator
Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
* Lead SharePoint upgrades and manage system enhancements
* Oversee file share permissions and conduct regular digital health checks
* Attend governance meetings and ensure compliance with data policies
* Identify and manage records, ensuring correct storage and organisation
* Work with the Responsible Data Management Team to implement Rational Governance across network file shares
* Collaborate with the Responsible Data Management Team and business teams to identify and assign ownership of legacy shares
* Represent Operations in Microsoft Teams and Data Protection, ensuring alignment with best practices
* Support Data Protection initiatives, including Privacy Impact Assessments and compliance actions
Your skills and experiences:
* Experience in Microsoft SharePoint administration
* Knowledge of records management and data protection, including handling sensitive company data and GDPR compliance
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for data extraction, analysis, and Pivot Tables, as well as Word and Outlook
* Experience of Power BI and/or other data visualisation tools would be highly advantageous

The Operations Team:
You will be part of a team responsible for managing documents and records within SharePoint, acting as the main point of contact for Data Protection within the Operations function. You will have a clear understanding of how Microsoft SharePoint works, particularly from a Site Owner role, and be able to secure data within Teams. Familiar with record retention, you will provide guidance on best practices for responsible data management and data protection. You will have experience in SharePoint administration, with an understanding of records management and data protection. While some training will be provided, you should be able to communicate effectively at all levels and show persistence in ensuring best practices are followed.
