Senior Occupational Therapist

Salary: A£21.31 - A£24.14 per hour DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will provide occupational therapy services, assessing, implementing, and evaluating person-centred care programmes as part of a multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
1. Conduct assessments of service user needs and develop appropriate, person-centred treatment plans to meet individual needs.
2. Promote choice in all aspects of clinical practice, review and enhance the service user experience, and ensure concerns and complaints can be freely raised.
3. Liaise and collaborate with other health and social care professionals in planning and delivering occupational therapy care.
4. Ensure the appropriate provision and maintenance of equipment within available resources.
5. Maintain up-to-date written and electronic records in line with professional standards, ensuring sensitive information is securely stored.
6. Share knowledge and expertise with staff through formal and informal teaching.
7. Maintain a safe working environment, uphold service user confidentiality, and occasionally take on reasonable additional tasks as needed.
About You
1. Diploma/BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy.
2. Current and valid registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
3. Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
4. Knowledge and application of OT assessments and interventions, using clinical reasoning.
5. Ability to work autonomously and set priorities while supporting others.
6. Ability to assess and manage risk confidently in relation to occupational performance.
7. Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to respond efficiently to complex information.
8. Competent IT skills.
9. Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Ability to build effective working relationships.
12. Desirable: Experience in a relevant setting, including practice placements.
