This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.
The role
As a Layout and Access Coordinator, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. As a Layout and Access Coordinator, you report to the Access and Layout Engineer and will play a crucial role in managing and supporting the work access route requirements across site to support the MEH Alliance construction programme
1. Day-to-day, you’ll ensure the Access & Layout signage requirements are installed as per the Building classification and Liaise with MEH Logistics team to get the signage installed.
2. Liaise with Site Ops team to ensure Building access routes are always available. Assess alternative access routes, if current route is blocked due to site works.
3. Ensure the access / egress routes are not compromised. Manage and keep the access route register up to date. Raise any concerns or issues with Building leads
4. Work along with MEH Temporary Works & Access team to co-ordinate access requirements that suits all building occupants
5. Ensure all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations
6. Create safe access routes for pedestrian and material deliveries to buildings.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based on site at the Hinkley Point C Power Station in Somerset.
Essential experience of the Layout and Access Coordinator
7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
8. Excellent organisational and communication skills
9. Confident use of IT and MS Office Software
10. Previous Layout and Access experience is not a necessity however excellent coordination skills are required
