Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £416.65 - £445 Per Week (Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications)
Contract Start Date: March 2025 (Temporary permanent) (Full Time) (Flexible start dates)
The School and Role
Vision for Education works with thousands of primary, secondary, and SEND schools and alternative provisions across the Doncaster area. The majority of the schools we work with are Ofsted rated excellent and good. The role involves a dedicated, passionate, and determined individual who wants to progress into the teaching profession. The National Teaching Assistant Programme will secure you a paid 5-day placement within a SEND school. After completion of the placement and relevant free online training programmes, you will be placed into the same or another relevant SEND school setting. The SEND schools that we work with cover a range of SEN such as ASD, MLD, SLD, SEMH, EBD, and ADHD.
Requirements
The desired teaching assistant for the National Teaching Assistant Programme will have:

* An understanding of the crucial importance of keeping children and young people safe.
* The ability to demonstrate at interview the reasons for wanting to start a career in education and explain the role of a Teaching Assistant and its importance in the school community.
