Ifield School are looking to appoint an Occupational Therapy Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside our friendly and professional Therapy Team, with the main duties of assisting our Occupational Therapist in planning and delivering tailored therapy sessions to pupils aged 4-19 who have speech, language and communication difficulties associated with profound, severe and complex needs, including ASD.
The successful candidate will also be expected to provide direct 1:1 support to pupils and during group sessions using therapeutic techniques to assist with sensory regulation, motor skills development and independence.
Previous experience of working within this role or knowledge of the role of Occupational Therapy within schools would be desired.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a Self-Disclosure Form and in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024, will also be subject to an online search.
