Are you a driven, diligent, and commercially astute Key Account Manager?
My client is a global manufacturer of cosmetics, working with the most luxurious brands in the industry. This is a rare opportunity as recruitment is incredibly infrequent; They pride themselves on offering clear development opportunities and succession plans internally. They also invest thousands into training to their management teams to be the most positive influential mentors to their teams.
The purpose of this role is to lead the Account Managers, whilst managing clearly defined Key Accounts which you will inherit from the business development teams. The successful candidate will have management experience of at least two direct reports, and strategic account management experience within either a contract manufacturer, or raw materials supplier.
Responsibilities
* Manage high value key accounts, focusing on growing product ranges with those existing accounts
* Manage team of seven Account Managers, with the support of the Sales Director. The Account Management team is highly efficient. They have responsibility for managing everything related to their accounts from P&L’s, cost management plans, forecasting, underwrites etc.
* P&L Responsibility for key accounts inherited from business development team
* Be a guardian of the commercial strategy and understand fully the focus areas at the beginning of each year. Build a focused plan to prioritise specific retailers at the beginning of the year.
* Use information given to you by the Marketing and Innovation teams on the latest product and ingredient trends, and translate this information to your customers in a way which is bespoke to them
Requirements
* 5 years minimum experience as a Key Account Manager at a senior level with a contract manufacturer, or ingredients supplier within the personal care product manufacturing industry
* Management experience with at least two direct reports
* Strong capabilities in Excel/PowerPoint skills to underpin rigorous commercial data understanding and sales presentation skills.
* Driven & self-motivated, a strong planner and well organised.
* Solve problems creatively for customers to balance the aims of the business whilst accommodating the key accounts needs
* Strong NPD knowledge
