Role Description
Reporting to the Head of QHSE, the QHSE Officer will support the department in daily inspections, employee assistance, and administrative tasks.
Collaborating with the EHS Advisor and the broader QHSE team, the QHSE Officer will provide hands-on support to ensure compliance, maintain accurate records, and uphold safety standards across the business.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wolverton, Milton Keynes. The QHSE Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety practices, managing environmental and occupational health compliance, and promoting a culture of workplace safety.
Specific responsibilities:
1. Conduct and review COSHH and generic risk assessments
2. Undertake inspection and regular review of fire and first aid provision, including First Aid stock management and updating FW & FAAW notices
3. RPE Face Fit Testing (we will provide the required training)
4. DSE and safety eyewear administration
5. DSE assessments administration
6. Update QHSE boards
7. Coordinate Managers' site inspections schedule
8. Cooperate with HR department OH receipt and review
9. Administer QHSE department purchase requisitions
10. Record keeping and record management for the QHSE department
11. Support Line Managers in all aspects of health, safety, quality, and environmental management
12. Work closely with all staff to promote cultural change towards QHSE management
13. Support Head of QHSE with collating ESG metrics
14. Notetaking at various meetings
Competency Requirements/Person Specification
1. IOSH Managing Safely
2. Achieved or working towards a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
3. Knowledge of HSE legislation
