The Role
We are looking to recruit a Generic Specialist Practitioner - Nurse Specialist to join the Rheumatology team at University Hospital Hairmyres!
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic team in NHSL looking after patients with a variety of Rheumatology conditions.
The successful candidate should:
1. Have excellent communication skills
2. Be able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously
3. Have the ability to demonstrate caring and compassionate qualities.
4. Have previous Rheumatology experience (essential to this role).
The post holder will manage a specialist caseload, using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan and implement care, provide expert advice and support, operating within a defined specialism across NHS Lanarkshire.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and implementation of a programme of clinical audit and research activity, and contribute to the supervision, education and development of members of the multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will provide effective leadership within scope of role.

What we'll need you to bring
12. Registered Nurse or AHP with valid NMC / HCPC Registration
13. Educated to Degree Level
14. Post graduate qualification at a minimum of Level 10 (Hons) or working towards
15. Expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
16. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
17. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
18. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.
19. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
20. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
21. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
22. Effective time management skills
23. Working knowledge of basic information technology
