As an Infrastructure Engineer you will manage and maintain our cloud and IT infrastructure. You will have a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies and system administration, including user management, software installation, and troubleshooting. You will also mentor a Junior Infrastructure Engineer to ensure the smooth running of our IT systems. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain cloud (Azure/AWS) and on-premises IT infrastructure. Perform system administration tasks (user management, software installation, backups). Monitor and optimise system performance and security. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements. Document technical procedures and best practices. Stay updated with emerging technologies. Support and mentor junior team members. Provide end-user support and occasional out-of-hours maintenance. This is a Hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work between home and our Gosforth Office. What are we looking for? 5 years in system/network administration. Strong experience with Windows, Linux, and Microsoft Azure. Expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Intune, Defender, O365). Solid knowledge of networking, security, and firewalls. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Desirable: Degree in Computer Science or related field. Previous line management/mentoring experience. Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, security, storage, IAM).
