People (HR) Business Partner – Part Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Business Partner to provide support and guidance on employment related matters within our Group People Services Team. You will join a team of Business Partners who provide people relations support to managers and colleagues across various business areas and report into a team of People Business Managers. The base location will be dependent on successful candidate and will involve travelling across the Southwest and Midlands area.
The role of People Business Partner will include:
* Providing employment advice and support to all business areas on topics such as performance management, absence, disciplinary, probation and restructures / change programmes to ensure compliance with policies and legislation and minimising risk to the business
* Proactively managing cases and supporting the business with change programmes
* Effectively responding to queries from managers and employees
* Attending formal meetings where required
* Making Occupational Health referrals where necessary and following up with the manager and employee accordingly
* Delivering HR policy training to managers
* Attending and supporting with staff council meetings
* Supporting the Group’s People Strategy
Skills and experiences:
* Recent experience of a similar role
* Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
* Chartered Member of CIPD (or equivalent)
* Experience of delivering expert HR advice and support
* Experience of supporting with change programmes
* Ability to prioritise and manage own caseload
* Experience of maintaining effective working relationships with managers and senior managers
* Working knowledge of current employment legislation and good practice principles

The full time equivalent salary for this role is £43,325 - £45,605 per annum based on 35 hours per week
