THE ROLE
With the significant global expansion and growth of the Bluey brand, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the Brands & Licensing finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This newly created role will report into the Head of Commercial Finance for Consumer Products and Licensing, and will become a subject matter expert on all financial aspects of the Bluey brand.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting, forecasting and budgeting
* Lead the preparation of the global Bluey P&L and cash flow across all of BBCS as part of monthly, quarterly forecast and budget / long-range planning cycles.
* Design, implement and deliver a suite of new monthly reporting including both standard financial reporting, as well as collate the right KPIs to support the business in assessing the health of the brand.
* Own the input of monthly Bluey results and commentary into the monthly BBCS Commercial Board pack.
* Own and deliver the preparation of Bluey specific slides and narrative included in forecast, budget / long range plan packs presented to the Studios Executive Committee.
* Track and manage a global view of the Central Marketing Fund available to spend on Bluey marketing campaigns.
* Track and optimize the global marketing recoupment position versus recommended budgets.
* Maintain and oversee an up-to-date view on resourcing that supports Bluey across the business.
* Collaborate and align with content partnerships and talent accounting teams.
* Track and report investment spends related to the Bluey movie versus the business case.
Contribution to Bluey Steering committees and action groups
* Participate and contribute commercial insights at the Bluey Steering Committee and Action Groups.
* Prepare and present all Bluey Steering Committee Packs.
* Ensure alignment of all financial targets included in the Bluey Action group's KPI tracker.
Long range planning
* Own and deliver the 10-year scenario modelling for the brand.
Analysis & Insight
* Deliver and lead effective financial and business analytical support.
* Synthesize and highlight a range of financial data and commercial Key Performance Indicators.
* Collaborate and contribute with finance and commercial teams.
* Promote and implement improvements through identifying and recommending opportunities.
Business Support
* Provide and recommend timely solutions to both finance and business teams.
* Recommend and implement process improvement.
* Research and share external industry knowledge.
Stakeholder Management
* Maintain and develop effective and collaborative working relationships.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with key business and finance stakeholders.
Collaboration
* Collaborate and engage with various teams across all divisions of BBC Studios.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE?
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* A professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Experience delivering high-quality management information reporting.
* Ability to interpret contracts and apply these to financial models.
* Ability to communicate complex data in an understandable way.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* A CIMA qualification and related experience.
* Experience in the media and entertainment industry.
* Experience in a large global matrix organizational environment.
* Familiarity with licensing business models.
