Description

Essential Functions
1. Support inventory management by conducting regular counts of specific equipment pieces related to orders and returns to decrease discrepancies and increase billing accuracy.
2. Review daily site schedules and modify routes to ensure time restraints are met, assigning orders to scheduled DME Technicians.
3. Prepare the truck for delivery by pulling stock, staging equipment, and loading equipment following safety standards.
4. Participate in daily assessments and verifications of the truck and equipment, confirming basic safety operations.
5. Follow the daily route for timely delivery of hospice equipment, notifying patients or caregivers of estimated delivery times.
6. Perform safety assessments of patient environments following a standard safety checklist.
7. Follow the daily route for timely pick up and/or exchange of hospice equipment, adhering to established safety procedures.
8. Support site leadership with the onboarding and training of new and existing employees.
9. Maintain continuous communication with the customer service team regarding order status and equipment availability.
10. Complete and maintain driver logs and vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
11. Unload returned equipment following safety procedures and confirm equipment for proper sanitization.
12. Adhere to OSHA guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
Marginal or Additional Functions
1. Assist with warehouse functions, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
2. Assist the warehouse by receiving and confirming new equipment as needed.
3. Participate in ongoing staff meetings and training activities.
4. Act as the emergency on-call backup when a DME Technician is unavailable.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory and Managerial Responsibility
This job does not entail direct supervisory responsibility but acts as a resource to others in directing and educating.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education, Licensure or Certification:
1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Must have a current state-issued driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
Work Experience or Related Experience:
1. At least six months experience interfacing with customers is essential.
2. Experience in healthcare or medical fields working with durable medical equipment is required.
3. At least one year of previous experience directly related to delivery and warehouse operations is required.

1. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
2. Knowledge of smart devices and mapping systems.
3. Ability to lead and direct others.
4. Ability to prioritize tasks and functions.
5. Ability to protect and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Travel Requirements and Conditions
Heavy daily local travel is required for delivery and pick up of equipment.
Work Environment, Conditions and Demands
Work is performed in a warehouse environment and requires operation of a vehicle. Frequent exposure to weather and handling of medical equipment is expected.
Physical Requirements and Demands
1. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull durable medical equipment weighing up to 80 lbs.
2. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule and participate in an on-call rotation.
Additional Position Information
Job may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination as required by laws or ability to demonstrate a negative COVID-19 status through routine testing.
Qualifications
Education: High School or better.
Experience:
1. 1 year in Customer Service.
2. 1 year in healthcare or medical fields with durable medical equipment.
3. 1 year in delivery/driver and warehouse operations.
