Introduction
Our client, a well-established consulting engineering company in the Highways sector, is currently seeking an experienced Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent role that offers an excellent opportunity for career development in a dynamic and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Working collaboratively with the engineering team to deliver high-quality projects within the Highways sector.
2. Undertaking engineering calculations, analysis, and technical assessments to support the design and construction process.
3. Using Microdrainage software to design effective and efficient drainage systems.
4. Applying your expertise in Section 278 agreements to ensure compliance with transportation regulations and guidelines.
5. Contributing to the preparation of reports, drawings, and specifications for varied civil engineering projects.
6. Assisting in the supervision and inspection of construction sites, ensuring compliance with design standards and health and safety regulations.
7. Maintaining effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure project success.
8. Continuously improving your technical knowledge and skills to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
Job Requirements
9. Significant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on highways and drainage projects.
10. Proficiency in the use of Microdrainage software for designing effective drainage systems.
11. A solid understanding of Section 278 agreements and their application within the transportation sector.
12. Experience with Civil 3D and its application to produce accurate designs and drawings.
13. Good knowledge of applicable engineering standards, regulations, and guidelines.
14. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
15. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and stakeholders.
16. An eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
