Base pay range
Our client is a boutique wealth manager in the heart of the City, looking for a reliable and experienced accounting professional to oversee the Finance and Accounting advisory service for their client base.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
* Preparing tax and VAT returns
* Ad hoc administrative jobs, including registration for HMRC services like PAYE, self-assessment, VAT and company registration
* Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of financial records
* Performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
* Assisting in completing Year-end financial accounts for most business types, including sole proprietors and limited companies
* Assisting in preparing tax returns, including Personal Self-Assessment, Partnership, and CT600 returns
* Liaising with HMRC on clients' behalf and advising clients on any investigations
* Ensuring that all deadlines are met
* Direct client advisory on payroll and VAT matters
The skills you need to bring:
* Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
* Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
* Proactive approach to improving client services and processes
* Experience with financial reporting and analysis
