Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 pro rata per annum (dependent on qualifications)
Merseyside Law Centre delivers free specialist social welfare law advice and assistance in Housing, Welfare Benefits, and Immigration from 3 different offices across the Liverpool City Region, as well as court-based services in Liverpool and St Helens.
We are recruiting for an Immigration Caseworker that can demonstrate a strong interest in Immigration advice; experience of delivering advice and support to asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants; and a commitment to developing skills and knowledge through the completion of further training and qualifications.
Immigration advice is a much-needed area of advice in the region, and we are aiming to develop our level of provision, including establishing a legal aid contract to provide the broadest range of support as possible.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants; has the experience, knowledge and skills to manage a varied caseload; as well as the drive to gain further qualifications and progress in their role.
Job Title: Immigration Caseworker (qualified to Level 2 OISC as a minimum)
Holidays: 28 days per year pro rata, plus Bank Holidays
Pension: 3% employer contribution
Hours: 28 hours per week
