The Role
Due to continued business growth, we are looking for an experienced part-time client manager to join our team and provide outstanding service to our clients.
This role includes traditional accountancy tasks but also goes beyond compliance; it involves acting as a commercial sounding board for clients, guiding them through their financial journey with strategic advice and actionable insights.
This role requires a proactive approach to client service, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of commercial drivers. Managing workload, stakeholders, and deadlines will be a key part of the role.

We are an award-winning digital accountancy firm based in Bristol. We are female led and owned and one of only 20 B Corp certified accounting businesses in the UK.
We are a fully remote firm working with businesses across the UK. We exclusively use Xero with our clients and all our systems are all fully integrated with Xero. We adopt a digital first approach in all aspects of our work.
We are a small friendly team with a commitment to high levels of quality and customer service.
The Responsibilities
1. Client Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients to ensure that all submissions, including accounts and VAT returns, are delivered well in advance of statutory deadlines.
2. Financial Oversight and Advisory: Support clients in understanding their financial figures, helping them interpret data to make informed decisions.
3. Financial Reporting: Produce reports with analysis on profit and loss, balance sheets, customer insights, and bank balances, adding valuable commentary and comparisons to highlight significant changes.
4. Strategic Planning: Offer strategic advice on cash flow management, foreign exchange, and other financial areas. Provide detailed reports with useful analysis and comparisons to assist in decision-making.
5. Data Management and Improvement: Oversee the accuracy of financial data, identify areas for improvement, and alert clients to potential pitfalls in a timely manner.
6. Tax planning: Identify and provide proactive tax planning opportunities for clients that are robust and in accordance with tax legislation, HMRC guidance and best practice.
7. Client Relationship Management: Act as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive a high level of service and support.
8. Business Development: Identify, communicate, and implement opportunities to improve processes that enhance the business.
9. Team Development: Share knowledge, experience, and insights with team members. Assist more junior members of the team with any queries.
10. Self-Development: Drive and motivate yourself to acquire new knowledge and skills to be the best that you can be.
The Requirements
We are looking for someone with:
1. Critical thinking, strong analytical & problem-solving skills

4. Strong accounting and tax knowledge
5. Commercially savvy, with the ability to see the big picture and understand the client’s perspective
6. High emotional intelligence, excellent communication, and people skills

10. A commitment to 5-star service
Experience & Qualifications:
1. 5+ years of general practice experience
2. Strong technical skills and a deep understanding of accounting and tax rules
3. Experience in going beyond traditional accounting to help clients improve their business performance
4. Must be UK based, ideally within 1 hour of Bristol
The Rewards
1. Part time role – 20-25 hours per week
2. Fully remote home-based role with flexible working
3. Salary: depending on experience
