Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: West London – Hillingdon, Hounslow, Harrow, Ealing and Ruislip
Role: Supply Teaching Assistant for EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Duration: Day to day supply – sick cover – maternity cover – training cover – jury duty cover
Pay: £83 - 95 per day (paid on a weekly basis)
What we are looking for:
We are currently working with many mainstream Primary and Catholic schools located in the West London area who are in demand of supply teaching assistants who can cover in KS1 and KS2 classes when needed. Schools are looking for individuals who can provide support for children who need extra help, so they are kept on track and are always learning. The position is flexible, and we explain to candidates that they should expect to get a call at 7am Monday to Friday for supply bookings.
What will the job involve?
* One to one or small group support interventions
* Managing children’s behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
* Helping the class teacher to gather materials and resources for each lesson
* Have an understanding of the national curriculum so you can support the children in their learning
* Carry out observations to report back to the class teacher
Essential requirements and qualifications needed:
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
Safeguarding training
Overseas criminal clearance
Experience working with children in an educational setting
Desirable experience:
CACHE level 2 or 3 award
Level 2 or 3 in Childcare
SEN courses e.g., Autism
Psychology background
Care work
