DB RECRUITMENT
Description
We are a creative design company with unified project delivery expertise. We always begin every project by listening – understanding client hopes, ambitions and values. From here, we design, cost and build: challenging convention to unleash innovation and fresh new thinking.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with Furniture contacts/leads, preferably from that industry. A furniture manager position is needed initially to cover for maternity leave but also to help amalgamate the wider group offer. You will need to have experience in the London furniture market with established relationships and demonstrable knowledge in delivering turnkey commercial projects. You will work closely with additional furniture team members and the wider project team where you will focus on increasing lead generation, designing and pitching tenders, and helping the team to reach and exceed ambitious agreed targets.
This fast-paced position offers an opportunity to assist with shaping the furniture group offer by reviewing, adapting, and where necessary implementing new systems to help with our group ambitions. We have a laid-back approach; however, there is a huge amount of accountability, and we expect our team to continuously challenge each other and the status quo.
The job role will principally be based in Reading; however, you would be expected to work in our other office locations in Birmingham and London to maintain and expand your connections.
The responsibilities of this job include:
1. Build relationships with clients by providing up-to-date furniture knowledge and problem-solving.
2. Build relationships with suppliers and drive better rates for the business.
3. Create and present pitch content for competitive tenders.
4. Price preconstruction packages for both tender and negotiated projects.
5. Assist project team with value engineering exercises when needed.
6. Drive sales by sourcing direct work for the furniture team and collaborate with the Business Development team.
7. Continuously research new suppliers and keep up to date with the latest trends.
8. Work closely with the furniture team to review and develop processes and efficiencies.
9. Host furniture tour days with clients in Clerkenwell.
10. Develop furniture specification packages for client review and sign-off.
11. Work closely with the furniture operations team when handing over contract packages.
12. Collaborate with the design team and assist with project specifications while keeping budgets in mind.
13. Work with external visualisers to ensure our offer is industry-leading and achievable.
14. Emphasize responsible sourcing and create an offer centered around ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
15. Develop and workshop a strategy to unify the group furniture offer with the wider project team.
Benefits we have to offer:
* 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Flexible working arrangement
* Commissions/bonuses
* Professional training and development
* Enhanced maternity and paternity
* Enhanced pension
* Free eye tests
* Salary sacrifice scheme
* Breakfast, lunch, snacks, and drinks provided
* Birthday and work anniversary gifts
* Group social events
* Employee assistance programme

This is a great opportunity to join a successful firm working commercially throughout the UK, with a competitive salary offered, a friendly team, and various other benefits.
