UKCEH are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The role will work within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The role will support the management of the organisation’s fixed asset processes and assist in ensuring accurate financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to build your experience and grow your career in a supportive environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience and have the opportunity to access a training programme towards becoming an ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Calculate and post accruals and other month-end journals.
2. Assist in the production of monthly reports and management information (MI).
3. Support the FP&A team in variance analysis and identifying discrepancies.
4. Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes.
5. Support fixed asset processes, including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation reviews, and reconciliations.
6. Serve as a contact for all fixed asset queries from stakeholders.
7. Assignments supporting other finance teams
For the right candidate, we can provide a training package to help achieve CIMA or ACCA qualifications.
Requirements
8. Undergraduate degree or AAT Level 4 Qualified
9. A strong interest career in finance and working towards a CIMA or ACCA qualification.
10. Finance Experience
11. Proven numerical and analytical skills with the ability to manage complex data
12. The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
