ABOUT THE ROLE
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Autocab Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be working with a team of highly skilled and motivated people, who constantly develop and improve our Azure based infrastructure. You will be reporting into the Infrastructure Team Leader and be part of a team to help us drive best practice across the estate.
You will become an integral part of the management of our extensive infrastructure estate comprising of VMs, Containers, App Services, Storage Accounts, Resource Groups and more. You will be involved in our ongoing projects to deliver SRE monitoring and alerting as well as improving our Dev Ops capabilities.
You’ll be able to use your Azure expertise to recommend, design and then deliver the best Azure solutions to meet the product requirements. We aim to be scalable, adaptable, and observable as we continue to evolve. We also aim to be highly secure and you will be part of the never-ending endeavours to understand and remediate any vulnerabilities that our threat intelligence tools expose to stay ahead of the bad guys.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
1. 3 years or more commercial Azure IaaS and PaaS experience
2. Strong network skills
3. Experience administering Azure Services: AAD, App Service, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks.
4. Experience with both Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
5. Functional knowledge of network administration.
6. Docker container technology
7. Experience with continuity of Operations/Disaster Recovery architecture and planning.
8. Experience with .NET application deployment on Azure.
9. Understanding of Application Insights and monitoring of applications.
10. Proficiency in scripting in Bash or Python
11. Dev Ops CI/CD pipelining skills
12. Security engineering and operations
13. SRE skills including monitoring and alerting
DESIREABLE
1. Computer Science or related degree
2. Understanding of SQL and KQL
3. Bitbucket / Git
