Early Help Community Social Worker – Gloucestershire County Council Location: Forest of Dean Pay Rate: £35.00 per hour About the Role: In this telephone-based locum role, you’ll offer advice and guidance to professionals concerned about children’s welfare. You will primarily respond to requests submitted to an inbox but may also attend TAF meetings. Your focus will be ensuring children receive the right level of intervention and support. You’ll receive oversight from a manager and support from senior social workers in a well-established duty system. Key Responsibilities: Advise practitioners about children’s welfare concerns. Handle requests for support from the Tewkesbury and Forest of Dean areas. Attend TAF meetings as needed. Make timely decisions using the Levels of Intervention framework. Collaborate with a supportive team. What We’re Looking For: MASH experience, with knowledge of thresholds and triage. Familiarity with Gloucestershire’s services and Levels of Intervention. An empathetic, reflective approach to safeguarding. Ability to make and record timely decisions.
