Lead Planning Engineer
We are looking for an ambitious Project Planning professional to join our Project Controls team delivering the Eastern Green Link 1 (EGL1) HVDC project linking Scotland and England.
In Project Controls, our goal is to ensure the right rigor around schedule and cost management processes to deliver projects on-time and within budget.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Builds project baselines and gains approval of client and internal stakeholders.
2. Maintains project schedule and resource forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Analyses schedule and trends and communicates forecasted schedule risk to project team, drives risk mitigation proposals.
4. Checks and controls schedule movements, compares with current scope and progress as well as with previous forecast.
5. Also compares with productivity factors and validates accuracy of future task durations.
6. Ensures that forecast task durations and logic are understood and committed by the task owners.
7. Produces and communicates internal and external project reporting of project status.
8. Collaborates with 3rd parties on project schedule interfaces including maintenance of an interface register.
9. Presents all time schedule data in a transparent way, attends project and management reviews to present schedule status.
Educational Requirements:
* Degree qualified either in engineering or project management discipline.
Desired Knowledge & Experience:
* Demonstrable experience in planning large turnkey infrastructure projects.
* Expert Primavera P6 user (Essential).
* Knowledge of risk management processes and tools.
* Knowledge of cost control function and interface with schedule on large turnkey projects.
* Good level of relevant industry knowledge within the Renewable Energy / Power Generation sector (Highly Desirable).
* Knowledge in applying forensic analysis on large turnkey projects.
* Previous experience building integrated schedules for tenders.
