This is an exciting opportunity to join our existing team in the Neurosciences Directorate at UHNM. This position will be primarily based at Mid Cheshire Hospital Foundation Trust. Stroke services based at UHNM participate in a stronger together partnership with Mid Cheshire Hospital Foundation Trust collaborating on patients' treatment.
Main Duties of the Job
This opportunity will involve working primarily at Mid Cheshire Hospital Foundation Trust with an opportunity to work at the University Hospital of North Midlands. The post will cover all areas of stroke care, including hyper-acute stroke care, post-stroke care, and stroke rehabilitation.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration
* MRCP (or equivalent)
* Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for stroke unit care.
* Experience of working in a stroke unit in the UK.
* On the Specialist Register
Clinical Experience & Training
* Sub-speciality training in Stroke medicine
* Experience in assessing patients for thrombolysis/thrombectomy in Hyper Acute Ischaemic Stroke
* Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the care of patients
* Ability to offer expert clinical opinion in a range of problems within specialty
* Good writing and presentation skills
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
* Comprehensive training appropriate to this post
* Experience of undergraduate teaching
Academic Achievements, Research, Publications
* Experience of conducting clinical audit.
* Ability to use the evidence base and clinical audit to support decision-making.
* Publications in peer-reviewed journals
