In short we are looking for a Project Manager for the project team of the FM division of a large european group of construction companies. You will predominantly manager PFI lifecycle works and act as prinicipal contractor agreeing and consulting on projects with the client and then delivering the works. The Role: You will initially be employed on a 9 month fixed term contract and you will received full company benefits - see below. As part of the Projects Team you will be responsible for the client side / principal contractor project management of all M&E / building fabric / small construction lifecycle projects for PFI contracts across the South West of England Projects can range to c£2.5m however values will typically be less, between £50k and £500,000. They will encompass all aspects within education settings including refurbishments, changes of use, replacing M&E plant, new build extensions and services will include building fabric, heating, ventilation, electrical, civils, roofing, flooring and plumbing. You will be responsible for: Managing projects from cradle to grave Agreeing project specification with the client Surveying of projects / scope of works Managing the tender process Appointing sub-contractors Agreeing forms of contract, bespoke, JCT or NEC. Agreeing programmes / timescales Ensuring quality of work Managing projects commercially with assistance from the commercial team. Managing snagging Agreeing final account and handover The Person: Experienced at delivering concurrent projects. Ability to create value engineering ROI (Return on Investment) Experience in a client side / principal contractor Project Management role in construction, civils or M&E building services Good communication and man management skills and a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget Commercially aware NEBOSH general certificate desirable The Salary: £55k to £60k 8%/8% Pension 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, well being / health package, car allowance of c£4,500 plus a wider benefits package
