A large, purpose-built Nursing Home for the Elderly is seeking a new Home Manager. The Home is in need of a turnaround, as compliance is lacking. There will be some challenges to overcome, but the provider is very supportive and allows for autonomy!
Key Responsibilities of a Nursing Home Manager:
1. Overall running of the home, including budgets, staff management, quality, and compliance.
2. Staff appraisals, meetings, and disciplinaries.
3. Building relationships and communication with residents, relatives, and external stakeholders.
4. Build strong relationships with CQC and the local authority.
5. Building and maintaining high occupancy.
6. Maintaining minimal agency usage.
Nursing Home Manager Requirements:
1. Experience in Nursing and Residential Care Homes is essential.
2. Experience in a medium to large nursing/residential home.
3. Experience working with elderly and/or dementia residents.
4. Ambitious and motivated individual.
5. Strong leadership.
6. Good track record with CQC.
7. Computer literacy.
