Audit Assistant Manager Bury St Edmunds Hybrid Working £43,000 - £50,000 A long-established and friendly practice is seeking a Assistant Manager to join its growing audit and corporate services department. This role is approximately 70% audit and 30% non-audit and involves managing a portfolio of clients providing compliance services for a range of clients including high net worth individual, directors of companies and trustees. Role Responsibilities Accountable for the timely provision of audit and accounting services including corporate tax returns and special services for a portfolio of clients. Supervise and control completion of audit assignments including systems and controls, planning and completion, including attendance at a clients premises when required. Review and completion of audit file for Partner/Associate review. Review and finalisation of work prepared and conclude on all final points for review. Preparation of projections and forecasting information. Review and finalisation of management information. Effective communication with clients. Consolidations and other complex accounting processes. Ensure company secretarial process is followed, and advise clients of their responsibilities. Preparation of budgets for client work. Manage budgets and compliance for clients. Raising bills. Personal Requirements Audit experience is essential, as the role involves managing and conducting audits, preparing accounts, and ensuring tax compliance for a variety of businesses. Excellent working knowledge of UK GAAP and disclosures required for both small and medium-sized companies. ACCA/ACA qualified with at least one year of post-qualification experience. Experience in managing, mentoring, and coaching trainee staff is highly desirable. Excellent communicator who can work both independently and within a team. Exceptional attention to detail. Self-motivated, driven, and able to perform well under pressure while leading a team. Knowledge of ISAs and experience in planning audit work. Comfort in communicating with clients when needed.
