Our client, a reputable healthcare provider based near Newcastle, UK, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Osteopath with a focus on cranial and sports osteopathy. This role involves working within a supportive and professional environment, providing a range of manual therapies to assist patients in achieving optimal musculoskeletal health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to develop a holistic understanding of each patient’s health and identify musculoskeletal concerns.
* Diagnosis & Treatment Planning: Formulate tailored treatment plans targeting the root causes of health issues through a holistic approach. Emphasis will be placed on cranial and sports osteopathy, utilising techniques such as joint mobilisation, soft tissue manipulation, and muscle stretching.
* Manual Therapy & Rehabilitation: Apply hands-on techniques to improve mobility, function, and overall well-being. Work with patients to optimise biomechanics and support injury recovery, particularly in sports-related cases.
* Patient Education: Empower patients with knowledge of their condition, treatment plans, and lifestyle adjustments to support long-term health and wellness. Educate on exercise and ergonomic practices to encourage self-regulation and healing.
* Collaborative Care: Engage with other healthcare professionals, such as GPs, specialists, and physiotherapists, to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
* Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate patient records, documenting assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and ongoing progress, while adhering to all privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
* Professional Development: Stay updated on advancements in osteopathic medicine through continuous education, workshops, and training programmes.
UK candidates are preferred for this role; however, visa sponsorship is available for highly qualified international candidates with significant experience in cranial and/or sports osteopathy.
Requirements
1. Registered and licensed to practice as an Osteopath in the UK.
2. Specialisation or significant experience in cranial and/or sports osteopathy.
3. Demonstrable knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, with experience treating sports injuries and cranial conditions.
4. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
5. Dedication to ethical standards and a commitment to continuous professional development.
