Our client is offering an excellent opportunity to join their team on a permanent basis in the role of Business Development Executive. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate with various departments to achieve measurable results that contribute significantly to business growth.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the heavy plant and construction industry, demonstrating the capability to implement a strategic sales approach that expands market reach and strengthens client relationships. Furthermore, this individual will proactively pursue additional business opportunities to drive revenue growth and position our company favourably against competitors.
Responsibilities to include:
1. Conduct high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.
2. Promote the company's products and services to prospective clients.
3. Participate in collaborative business meetings to update key stakeholders.
4. Communicate with clients and address significant inquiries regarding the company's products and services.
5. Identify new business opportunities, including potential markets, clients, partnerships, and product or service offerings.
6. Create strategies to successfully pursue new business opportunities.
7. Build relationships with new clients, assess their needs, and develop proposals to address those needs.
8. Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients.
9. Attend conferences and events to cultivate relationships with industry partners and stay informed about emerging trends.
10. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the company's products, the competitive landscape, and strategic positioning.
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
1. Proven track record of sales growth.
2. Experience in customer service, marketing, or sales-related fields.
3. Strong knowledge of construction, business, and sales growth techniques.
4. Exceptional project management skills.
5. Clear verbal and written communication skills.
6. Enthusiasm for the company's growth potential.
7. 5 years + experience as Business Developer within the Construction Industry.
8. Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the construction, remediation, or related sectors.
9. Computer literate - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook.
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9 am to 6 pm (including 1 hour lunch); Hybrid (office 2 days per week).
Location: Loughborough, UK.
Salary: £40,000- £45,000 per annum, depending on experience + bonus of 10% calculated according to the fulfilment of objectives defined by the company.
Annual Leave: 28 days, including Bank Holidays.
