An exciting opportunity to join the Education Service has become available and if successful you will be joining the team as we continue our journey towards growing the numbers of Supported Internships in Warwickshire and supporting young people with SEND to gain meaningful employment.? About the Role We are looking for a proactive and passionate person to join our team as a Supported Internship’s Coordinator. The role will be to support the growth of student numbers and host business through coordinated and effective marketing and promotional activities e.g., Fairs, careers events, assemblies, parents' evenings, working alongside Warwickshire Skills Hub (Economy & Skills) and Child Friendly Warwickshire. This role will enable you to proactively support an increase of employment outcomes through developing, implementing, and maintaining a new referral process with Warwickshire Supported Employment Service. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the Warwickshire Independent Travel Training Team (ITT) to support new interns. The candidate will also work with several other internal and external partners to develop, and maintain a regular SEND Employment Forum and attend meetings to share information and best practice. The role will allow you to facilitate college leads gaining support from the Department of Work and Pension, Access to Work Grant colleagues to monitor, discuss and problem solve funding applications. The Coordinator will be responsible for promoting best practice for supported internships based on the latest guidance and promote the Supported Internship Quality Assurance Framework (SIQAF). Part of this will include undertaking regular onsite visits to colleges, businesses to learn about the provision, foster constructive professional relationships with the LA, undertaking regular meetings/visits with Warwickshire Supported Employment Service, Warwickshire Skills Hub (economy and skills), Independent Travel Training Team, Child Friendly Warwickshire and SEND and Inclusion Focus Group and engaging and working collaboratively with Warwickshire Parent Carer Voice, IMPACT and the Quality and Impact Service.
