Materials Manager

Responsibilities
1. Manage raw material purchases and e&o in line with Inventory targets.
2. Manage customer demand schedule loading on the backlog.
3. Identify changes and movements in customer demand.
4. Evaluate the raw material impact and availability of raw material.
5. Review flow down effect on Inter co suppliers.
6. Review SOP and financial impact in conjunction with the Planning Manager.
7. Monitor sales backlog to ensure it reflects customer requirements and acknowledged delivery dates.
8. Confirm raw material plan requirements to support SOP and customer commitments.
9. Review supply commitments in conjunction with purchasing, verify and identify issues to meet customer committed deliveries.
10. Support purchasing to resolve supply issues.
11. Prepare work order launch plan, in conjunction with Planning Manager, to support customer deliveries and production plans.
12. Prepare long-range raw material forecasts for Inter Co suppliers.
13. Prepare customer raw material reporting.
14. Implement robust process to ensure charge back on any applicable PPV and or surcharge to customers.
15. Ensure compliance with applicable reporting (e.g., SOX, Conflict Minerals, CBAM, SEPA).
16. Support development of IT Purchasing procedures.
17. Meet and communicate with customers as required.
18. Carry out any other duty as requested by the Senior Management Team.
Knowledge & Experience
1. Excellent understanding of how customer demand is linked to purchase demand.
2. Strong financial acumen.
3. Well organized and possess strong numerical skills with the ability to analyze data effectively and put forward solutions to problems.
4. Energetic with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Can work with minimal supervision, using own initiative.
6. Must have outstanding knowledge with advanced skills of Microsoft Excel, alongside good IT skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
8. A high level of responsiveness with the ability to work under pressure and tight time constraints.
9. Must have a minimum of 5 years applicable experience within a manufacturing industry.
