We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team on Waters Ward. This is a 28-bedded stroke and general rehabilitation ward, and Bridlington Community Unit, a decant ward that was opened to support the increased need for social care services in the area.
As the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse you will have excellent leadership skills and will embrace the challenge of working in a highly demanding and diverse environment, whilst actively supporting the nursing and therapy team to ensure high standards of care are delivered.
We are looking for someone who is capable of lateral thinking and will work in an innovative manner, bringing nursing and therapy together and promoting an environment true to the ethos of rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job
Duties of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse will include:

You will develop and maintain the standards of high-quality care and support your team in achieving these. You will also play a big role in the day-to-day running of the wards. This role will require effective communication skills at all levels, whether it be coordinating rehabilitation or discharges, liaising with a patient and their relatives in a time of need, or disseminating learning to your ward team.
You will be supported by a highly accessible Matron, and with their support, you will lead, inspire and motivate your nursing team who will demonstrate our trust values and act as role models on a daily basis.
