We are looking for a Food Preparation Assistant to assist with the preparation of sandwiches, salads and packaged items for the Riverside Café, Green room and seasonal summer café offer.
Reporting to the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef, key areas of responsibility include (please see the full job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
* To work alongside chefs to prepare sandwiches, salads and packaged items for our retail food offer.
* To be aware of RSC food standards as directed by the senior chef on duty and ensure that these are consistently delivered.
* To follow and listen to guidance and instructions to ensure the correct portions and wastage is kept to a minimum.
* To always follow company and government Health & Safety guidelines and attend relevant training.
* To be responsible for maintaining a clean and organised section whilst working.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* An aptitude for preparing food and a willingness to learn.
* Awareness of Health and Safety and Food hygiene.
* A passion for food and drink.
* The ability to follow instructions precisely.
* The ability to work quickly and cleanly under pressure.
* The ability to follow a spec and produce food to the correct standard.
This is a permanent position, on a variable hour contract based in Stratford upon Avon, where you will be working various hours and shifts.
