Reporting to the Finance Director and managing a medium sized team, this is a pivotal leadership role for the organisation and would suit a career focused individual looking to prove themselves.The successful individual will contribute to the financial strategy of a business and will be pivotal in the development of all internal control policies and procedures in the department. This is a highly commercially focused environment where the SLT rely heavily on this team for accurate and detailed management information and recommendations. Duties:Responsible for the management of all day-to-day finance and admin operationsEnsure robust team member training and development programs are in place for new and existing staff membersReport to the Finance Director with timely and accurate financial statements and informationAssist the Finance Director in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board membersEnsure reporting complies with professional and legal standardsCoordinating the preparation of budget and financial forecasting, and reporting any variancesManage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reportsReview all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunitiesOversee month and year end closureResponsibility and control of the VAT processing for HMRCAssist the Finance Director with legal reportingManagement of the Payroll function and responsible for PAYE reportingManage process re-engineering to improve effectiveness and efficiency of all finance processesOverseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel where requiredSupport the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processesAssist the Finance Director with special projectsCandidate requirements:Ideally qualified but qualified by experience or active studiers still consideredExcellent technical accounting knowledge including accounting standardsAnalytical, numerate, and comfortable with complex calculationsHigh prioritisation and organisational skillsExceptional communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levelsProactive approach to all aspects of the role - energetic and self-motivatedAbility to respond to change in a positive and proactive wayPlease apply via website or contact Georgina at Harvey John for more information.
