The programme manager is responsible for delivering change. The role requires effective co-ordination of the programme’s projects and management of their inter-dependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising. It also includes the co-ordination of the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits. A proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives is critical for the success of this role. As a natural leader, this person should have strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, the programme manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion. •Work closely with programme sponsor, cross-functional teams, and other key stakeholders to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives •Manage programme and project teams to deliver to time, on budget and quality, a well as coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives •Be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives and identify key requirements for cross-functional teams •Analyse, evaluate, and track programme risks, providing a clear mitigation strategy •Ensure that scope is monitored and controlled on projects and that any deviation is proactively addressed through re-planning and change control, where necessary, to safeguard programme baselines. Must have experience of programme/senior project management with focus on internal stakeholder management, reporting and delivery •Exceptional skills in time management, facilitation, and organisation •Functional knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes •Experience of managing complex IT software projects using established project/program management disciplines and methodologies. •Recognized project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, etc. is preferrable. •Experience of managing projects in a globally distributed matrix organization •Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal and comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders, from team to board level.
