Your new companyThe company has a great culture and are based just outside Birmingham city centre to the south.Your new roleWorking closely with the Managing Director this is a number one role within a busy finance function leading a team of 2. The role is a nice blend of day-to-day Controller but also involved in improvements to financial reporting and attending the monthly board meetings. Key duties are outlined below:
* Developing financial strategies, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting.
* Regular budget consolidation
* Cash flow management
* Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
* Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
* Payroll processing
* Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings.
* Management accounting including analysis and reporting.
* Preparation of month-end financials to a tight reporting timetable.
* Preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
* Monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliation review.
* Manage external and internal audits.
* Cashflow forecasting and tracking.
* Support ad hoc projects - To improve processes, systems, and efficiencies throughout our company operations.
