Are you ready to step into a dynamic, impactful role at a time of exciting change and transformation? We're on the lookout for an ambitious Senior Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team, where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our financial statements.
In this position, you'll work across multiple systems, partnering with teams across the UK and the US. You'll have the chance to engage with colleagues at every level, from management accountants to the CFO, ensuring we uphold top-tier financial reporting and meet all financial obligations.
What will you be doing?
1. Preparing consolidated financial statements for two groups of companies.
2. Reviewing financial statements for subsidiaries prepared outside the central finance team.
3. Partnering with auditors and internal teams to deliver high-quality audited financial statements.
4. Reviewing interest calculations, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
5. Monitoring compliance with loan agreements and ensuring accurate reporting.
6. Engaging with management accountants to improve the accuracy of monthly accounts.
7. Overseeing balance sheet risks and offering technical expertise to the finance team.
8. Reviewing VAT returns, supplier payments, and handling ONS surveys.
9. Driving collaboration and support across departments.
What are we looking for?
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
1. A degree or are qualified by experience.
2. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (newly qualified or similar).
3. Strong technical accounting knowledge with up-to-date standards.
4. Excellent system and financial reporting skills.
5. Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
6. Great communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
