Job Opportunity: Purchasing Assistant
SF Recruitment have an exciting new opportunity for a full-time, permanent Purchasing Assistant for their Nottingham based client. The suitable candidate will have previous purchasing experience. Working closely with senior management, this role is a great opportunity for a candidate to be part of a dynamic team and a fast-growing business. The client is looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, highly driven and used to working in a fast-paced environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Daily analysis of sales and stock figures
2. Creation of new purchase orders and scheduling with suppliers
3. Management of all unshipped PO's up to point of sailing
4. Gain full understanding of current product range and suppliers
5. Liaise with overseas teams in Asia and South America
6. Liaise with Senior Team to ensure adequate stock cover through peak seasonal trading and supplier closure periods
Essential Skills:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2. Confident use of MS Office Suite, especially Excel
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Ability to assess and prioritise workload independently
5. Strong organisational and time management skills
6. Able to clearly and effectively communicate with suppliers, customers & colleagues
7. Purchasing: 1 year (Required)
