Intervention Assistant - Gillingham Full-time - £90-£100 per day - ASAP start Tradewind are working with a Primary School in Gillingham, recruiting for an Intervention Assistant, providing targeted tuition on a 1:1 basis with Year 6 students, focused on supporting specific pupils in English and Maths. This will be a full-time role and would be to start as soon as possible. The contract would run till the end of the academic year. The school is a 2-form entry primary school in Gillingham near the town centre. They are graded Good by Ofsted and have a wonderful culture of nurture and support both for the staff and students. The school has limited parking and is easier to access via public transport. The Role Working with children in Year 6 on a 1:1 basis providing academic support This will be academic support and re-engagement for certain students in English and Maths. Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary. Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for. Requirements Experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable. Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential. Experience providing academic tuition would be highly desirable but not essential. Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced DBS on the update service.
