We have high expectations for all of our pupils, and Lodge Hill is a school that sees well-being, inclusion and achievement as central to everything.
The Governing Body is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant at Level 2 to work within the Learning Resource Base at the school. Experience of working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs is essential as the position will be supporting pupils with ALN within the resource base. Professional development is seen as a high priority at Caerleon Lodge Hill Primary and the ability to identify own training needs and participate in ongoing training is essential.
Candidates will be expected to:
1. Work under the guidance of teaching staff and/or members of the school leadership team
2. Support the educational, social progress and well-being of pupils under the guidance of the class teacher / ALNCo
3. Assist in the physical care and welfare of pupils
4. Assist the teacher with the management of pupils in the classroom and beyond
Level 2 posts are for 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (typically 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday, term-time only). Holidays must be taken during school closure periods. The appointment process will involve an interview with members of the school leadership team and a selection of Governors.
