If so, we’d like to hear from you as we grow our team at the Clinical Support Desk, dedicated to providing highly skilled remote clinical decision-making services at multiple locations throughout Wales; with future opportunities for remote working.
Primarily providing telephone and video-based clinical assessments to 999 callers, it’s a demanding but rewarding role, with a strong focus on excellent patient care and requiring a high level of critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Main duties of the job
You will receive high quality accredited training from the International Academy of Emergency Dispatch as well as our high-quality in-house training course. We will provide you with supervision, mentoring, and clinical audit to ensure you can deliver the best care to our patients. There are potential opportunities for the right candidates to undertake higher education qualifications specifically in Remote Clinical Decision Making; again, further recognising the specialism of this type of care.
The Clinical Support Desk is using state of the art clinical decision support software, with video functionality, integrated directory of service functionality, and text, email, and chat functionality; in addition to over 200 clinical pathways to support your consultation.
Working in partnership with the IAED, the Clinical Support Desk is using this software in an incredibly progressive way to achieve the most for our patients.
All Clinical Support Desk locations across Wales are easily accessible off the M4 or A55, and are based within socially distanced contact centres, with rest break facilities and wellbeing Zen rooms. Our Ty Elwy base also offers a free onsite gym.
This role involves shifts including nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
