We work with 12 to 17 year olds presenting with a wide range of mental health problems, but particular specialities are with self harm. Many of our young people have experienced earlier abuse and neglect and have attachment difficulties and emotional dysregulation.
We use a variety of different therapeutic approaches and in particular use Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) which is an evidence based approach for use with self harm. We would expect you to be able to use DBT skills when working with the young people and we will provide regular training and supervision on-site for this.
