Responsibilities
* Feed, groom, and exercise dogs and cats in our care
* Clean and maintain kennel and cattery facilities, ensuring hygiene standards are met
* Monitor the health and behavior of the animals, reporting any concerns to senior staff
* Administer medications as required and follow specific care instructions for individual pets
* Provide enrichment activities to keep animals mentally and physically stimulated
* Assist with check-ins and check-outs of pets, ensuring all paperwork is completed
* Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ needs and wellbeing
Requirements
* Previous experience working with animals is preferred
* Strong passion for animal welfare and care
* Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and walking dogs
* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
* Basic knowledge of animal behavior and health signs
