The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring safety-related systems, promoting an understanding that effective management of health and safety is an integral part of efficient business operations. You will be responsible for championing health and safety awareness, coordinating safety-related processes such as risk assessments, training sessions, accident investigations, and workplace safety audits. Your expertise will be crucial in advising management on health & safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment and control measures. You will also maintain the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) plan and support delivery of all associated actions. Champion and promote health and safety awareness across the site Coordinate and monitor safety related processes including risk assessment, training, accident investigation, workplace safety audits Complete audits and share best practice regarding all health and safety matters Advise management on health & safety legislation, safe methods of working, prevention of hazards to health and the suitability of plant, protective equipment and control measures Maintain the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) plan and support delivery of all associated actions Facilitate the reporting and investigation of all H&S incidents, ensuring that root cause is identified What you bring: The ideal candidate for this Health & Safety Manager position brings a wealth of experience from a similar role within a logistics environment. You hold at least a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Your strong interpersonal, management, and communication skills make you an effective leader who can work well at all levels. Your organisational skills are top-notch, ensuring that you can handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality or efficiency. Additionally, your good IT and data analysis skills will be essential in this role.
