The role:
As an administrative assistant, you can expect to support the office team in a range of administrative and clerical duties. You will deal with incoming and outgoing communications, handle queries, compile data, and create and maintain databases and other computerized systems. You will be part of a friendly team and able to build relationships.
You would be:
* welcoming visitors to the school and dealing with their enquiries
* able to demonstrate your ability to work effectively within a team as well as on your own initiative
* possess excellent communication and customer service skills
* managing email/post
* using IT systems to draft letters, emails, reports, newsletters, and social media
* keeping paper and electronic records up to date
* using reprographic equipment
Skills and experience you will need:
* excellent spoken and written communication skills
* methodical and well-organised, able to work accurately and pay attention to detail
* good literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills
* able to relate well with pupils, teachers, and parents
* able to prioritise work
* sensitivity and understanding
* flexible and open to change
* thorough and detail-oriented
Experience and knowledge of working within a school environment and with SIMS would be advantageous.
