Attendance Support Officer Grade 6, Points 13-20 37 hours a week Term time only plus additional 5 days by agreement with line manager Equivalent to 39 weeks Salary- £26,873-£30,296 full time (actual £23,089-£26,030) (Subject to April 2024 pay increment) Temporary for 1 year. (This role requires you to hold a full valid driving licence) Chosen Hill School is looking for someone to identify and support students with low attendance and who need to improve their attendance. The successful applicant will provide support and challenge to parents in line with our policy on attendance. You will work collaboratively with the Education Welfare Office (EWO), Pupil Premium Manager and Attendance Administrator liaising with agencies as well as develop and maintain links between school and the homes of students. You will meet with students regularly to identify barriers to attendance. The ultimate aim of the role is to remove these barriers to build good attendance identified students.
The role will involve working with students in Year 7-11.
You will have experience of working with people in a supportive role with a strong desire to see people succeed. With training, you will develop a clear understanding of the barriers to good attendance as well a variety of strategies to improve attendance.
